Furniture Makers Plan Joint National Conference
At the 16th meeting of the National Council of Furniture Associations in Cincinnati on June 6 and 7, a joint meeting of all furniture manufacturers is planned for next October at a central site, possibly Washington or Cincinnati, to press government departments for a cooperative stance. The memorandum by J.T. Ryan notes expected attendance of at least 400 manufacturers and outlines proposals on trade codes, traffic matters, and research efforts. The council also considers formalizing a research-focused executive member and reports an optimistic business outlook.
