Secretary Charged In Murder
New York AP says Joseph Remette, 28, Greer’s business secretary, was arrested on a murder charge for strangling interior decorator Michael Greer. Greer, 60, known for 18th century French furniture and decor, was found dead in his Park Avenue apartment with ankles bound. Police note a dispute preceded the death and imply financial trouble may have affected Greer. Remette was taken into custody at the Hotel Beacon on Upper Broadway after seven months of employment.
