Albert to retire as House Speaker after current term

Burst Dam Inundates Idaho Area

IDAHO FALLS AP The Teton Dam burst Saturday sending a 15 foot high muddy flood downstream. Towns Sugar City and Rexburg were inundated and thousands evacuated while 25 square miles appeared underwater from the air. By 4 pm the debris filled water reached the Snake River. The $55 million dam, completed last December, broke around noon, with the Bureau of Reclamation reporting the reservoir nearly filled.
