Dr Charles Som Mon County coroner reports a woman found dead and charred at a Mount Gilead residence. A neighbor alerted authorities yesterday afternoon, and the coroner said she had likely died late Saturday or early Sunday.
Washington reports labor department figures showing a $10 pre war market basket rising to $24.47 today with prices climbing since 1939. Grocers are authorized to increase 14 food types and all 26 items in the sample have risen.
