Harvests in Nazi Europe Fall Far Below Normal This Year
London July 26 AP reports experts say Germany and occupied Europe will harvest 5 to 20 per cent below normal due to frost damage, labor and seed shortages, and weather. Germany faces reduced cereal imports from Southeastern Europe and will rely on reserves and self production with ration controls and penalties for hoarding. Denmark, Romania, France, and Ukraine yields are also below normal, prompting emergency measures including government seizure of crops and rationed returns for household needs.
