Marijuana Crop Found In Field Near Clarkton North Carolina

Bladen County deputies reported finding about 2500 marijuana plants about six feet tall in a cornfield near Clarkton. The plants were grown by Fred Shaw, 62, and Roscoe Lennon, 46, who were charged with growing marijuana and jailed on $25,000 bond. Deputies raided the field Wednesday.

Watershed Plan Gets Final OK

The House Agriculture Committee approved the 56,300 acre Ohare River watershed program in Osage County. The data cost runs to 83400 with the federal government share 946000.
