Distribution of food dominated today as 250 workers, who walked out July 1, received supplies valued over 100 dollars. Relief HQ across the street handled rice, coffee, sugar, flour, lard and other necessities donated by merchants and mill workers. Both sides show little willingness to break the deadlock.
Three Locarno powers Britain France and Belgium reached agreement on three points for prospective discussions. At a crossing seven miles from Asheboro a 1934 Plymouth hit a train from High Point, Randleman, Asheboro and Southern Railway. Killed were Covington, 27, his sister Beth 25, and guest Maude Moore Steele, 25. Mrs. Stansell Covington, 50, hospitalized and unlikely to recover. another occupant, Mr. Covington, severely injured.
