Sixth North Carolina reenacts Manassas battle history
Burlington notes mark a Civil War centennial reenactment by a mainly Alamance Rowan and Wake County militia. Almost 150 volunteers under Col. W. Clifford depart by special train to Manassas Junction Virginia to relive First Battle of Manassas with blank muskets and Civil War era uniforms. The event, a commemorative reenactment, honors Col. Charles F. Fisher and the original Sixth’s action at Henry House Hill near Stonewall Jackson’s famed stand.
