Discounts for Prepaying City and County Taxes
City Manager E. M. Knox notes 1931 tax law lets property owners who prepay July city and county taxes get a two and a half percent discount. Street assessments are not eligible, but penalties apply to assessments. Early payments in 1931 had a three percent discount. July payments before August 1 get 2.5 percent.
