Coastal county belles tie for Miss North Carolina swimsuit honor
The Miss North Carolina Pageant results show Sherry Earline Williams of Onslow County and Susan Lorraine Mathias of Beaufort County sharing first place in swimsuit. Nan Elaine Holt of Yadkinville wins talent with a ballet. Ten finalists will be named tonight then cut to five for the Miss North Carolina crown and Miss America bid. Other preliminary talent winners include Pauletta Rashelle Pearson, Collis Deen Hill, Brenda Fox. swimsuit winners include Linda Jean Moyer, Cornelia Collette Lerner, and Claudia Gayle Chandler.
