Highway Toll Reaches Three As Week Ends
The state traffic toll for the year rose to 784 with three more deaths. Two victims died in Maiden at an intersection including 18 year old Barry Powell and 17 year old Leonard Allen Hill. A third fatality, 24 year old Leonard Hill, occurred in Stokes County when a speeding car ran off a curve.
