Medicare room charges explain private room costs and spell rules

Medicare uses a per spell $60 deductible applying to total charges for bed and care. Semi private rooms are defined as multi bed spaces with the most prevalent hospital rate, here $30, so patients pay the difference to private rooms when choosing private accommodations. When necessary for medical reasons, patients may be moved to private rooms with Medicare paying the difference.

Guards Killed At Wilmington School
