Indiana Farm Girl Learns Dutch Way Of Life
Phyllis Secondino, 22, of Clinton Indiana, spent six months with Dutch farm families in Blankenham, Holland, as part of the International Farm Youth Exchange. She learned farming, cooking, sewing, and Dutch language, saying she gained more in six months than ten years at home. The program includes 116 U S students visiting 44 countries and 147 international visitors to the United States, with sponsorship from the National 4-H Club Foundation and support from Ford Foundation Rotary Lions Nestle and Olin Mathieson.
