North Carolina Baptists to Hold February Evangelism Conference

More than 2,000 Baptist pastors laymen and laywomen will gather in Greensboro February 11 to attend the 1963 North Carolina Baptist Conference on Evangelism at First Baptist Church. Methodists to overhaul Sunday School curriculum nationwide

The Methodist Church plans a sweeping 1964 reform for Sunday Schools, discarding current materials for a new program aligned with modern child intelligence. Editor Dr Edward Peterson says theology will be taught by guiding children to discover personal answers, focusing on faith hope and love while addressing life’s big questions. University Body Adopts Five Point Plan in North Carolina

A special committee of the Consolidated University of North Carolina approved a five point program including a possible Charlotte expansion and a name change for North Carolina State College. Details will be presented to the board of trustees in Raleigh next Friday. The plan also allows NC State to award liberal arts degrees and permits male students to enter Woman’s College at Greensboro at the undergraduate level.
