Bridegroom who made his wedding gown for December wedding
Dewey Alberty a hospital supplies supervisor in Winston Salem waited at Green Street Baptist Church for his bride Louise H Burton. He had sewn her light blue silk and worsted wedding gown and the bridesmaids dresses with about 12 hours on the gown. He has made some 500 garments over six years including dresses for granddaughters and several blouses with tatting. He lost 104 pounds in two years and plans to focus on family rather than more sewing for now.
