AEC Plans Duke Nuclear Plant Approval at Oconee
The Atomic Energy Commission plans to approve Duke Power Co to begin generating electricity in May at the Oconee Keowee Toxaway plant in South Carolina. The first unit starts this May, the second in May 1972, and the third by June 1973. The total capacity will be 2.6 million kilowatts and about 40 percent of Duke's capacity. The AEC will also review antitrust questions related to the project and a group of Carolina cities seeks a guaranteed share of output.

Secret Mission Indictment in CIA Impersonation Case
A federal grand jury in Richmond indicts Philip L. Twiddy of Hampton on impersonating a CIA officer. An FBI affidavit says Twiddy and Roger A. Merricks were arrested in Wilmington, NC, last Dec. 22 on a local charge, with Merricks wearing a military uniform during the arrest.
