Gospelaires from Mt Vernon Ohio Bible College will sing and speak during the 11 a m Sunday service at Foursquare Gospel Church on Welch Drive. David Bryant of High Point a freshman at the college is a member of the quartet.
The Methodist Men’s Club of S Main Street United Methodist Church will meet Wednesday at 6 30 p m for installation of officers. New officers are E A Davis president James Morgan vice president and Woody Clayton secretary treasurer to be installed by Rev A L Maxwell.
Evangelist Price of Winston Salem will preach at Mars Hill Holiness Church Sunday at 11 45 a m local time. The event invites congregants to attend the morning service led by the visiting speaker.
Winston-Salem pastor Elder Dennis Bishop will deliver a sermon Saturday at 8 p m at St Matthew's Holiness Church.
Sister Evangelist Bertha Beech will speak at St. Anthony's Temple Holiness Church located at 707 Fairview Street this Sunday at 3 p.m. The event promises a spiritual message to attendees.

Speakers from the High Point Estate Planning Council include Arthur M Utley Jr Robert E Hauser and Dean A Rich. Topics cover wills probate taxes deaths gifts trusts and the uniform gifts to minors act. The event is promoted by the N C Baptist Foundation Inc and sponsored in the church by the Ladies Aid Society with Mrs Charles F Finch as president.
The St Mark Church story traces its 100 year history from 1871 beginnings in homes to a 1928 larger brick building and name change to St Mark. It recalls early land purchases, a 1907 fire, moments of foreclosure avoidance, debt relief in 1944, and ongoing centennial observances led by Rev Liston Sellers Jr begun in 1967 with repairs and a new financial plan.
