Globe Furniture completes strategic move to new plant
Globe Furniture Co moved its upholstery production division from Mangum Avenue to Prospect Street during the holiday week without any production downtime. The switch, planned by Jack Rochelle and Larry Campbell, adds 178000 square feet at the Prospect site, bringing total space to 378328 square feet including Mangum Avenue and Colony Table Division plants. The move follows Globe becoming a division of Burlington Industries in May and the acquisition of Continental Furniture Co later in the year.
