Kansas City judge sentences Edward Eugene Long to three years in a reformatory after he pleaded guilty to blackmail over a ransom demand tied to the Bobby Greenlease kidnapping. Long was a hotel bellhop who wrote a note to Robert C. Greenlease seeking ten thousand dollars. He was not involved in the actual abduction.
In Winston-Salem a woman claimed the man was the father of her baby in Municipal Court.
