Resnick Seeks Probe Into Capt Richard G Alexander Firing
Rep. Joseph R. Resnick plans a congressional inquiry into what he calls the Navy's arrogant and unexplained firing of Capt. Richard G. Alexander. He will seek a seven member House select committee if the Armed Services Committee does not investigate. Alexander, 45, was to command the battleship New Jersey but was reassigned to shore duty on his request for personal reasons.
