In July 1966 a couple purchased a mobile home from Greensboro Mobile Home Brokers, it was damaged on delivery and now rusts with a dented drip panel. The manager Bob Holladay has no records under the purchaser, and the owner is E C Allen of Tallahassee. The inquiry urges action and contact with the manager for resolution.
AP reports western Sicily rocked by killer earthquakes with over 250 deaths. In Britain 16 killed as 111 mph winds lash Glasgow Edinburgh and northern regions. Storms flood roads and disrupt power with casualties rising.
Bone chilling weather and a week of snow and ice storms curtailed opening day attendance at High Point winter furniture market. John Tobin of the Southern Buying Syndicate reported 40 attendees at a 75 reservation breakfast. Officials anticipate stronger business as week progresses despite closed showrooms from supplier plant fire and ongoing market activity across other regions.
A series of powerful earthquakes devastates western Sicily centered between Gibellina and Montevago. The disaster kills hundreds, injures many, and leaves towns wrecked while emergency teams race to reach debris. The government launches large relief operations as residents endure freezing conditions and shortages.
