The Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools has accredited High Point High School as an A institution. Greensboro High Point and Oak Ridge Military Institute are Guilford county’s other members. Accreditation means graduates can enter the freshman class at any A standard southern college. Russian orders drilling gear for Baku oil fields
The Russian Soviet government ordered ten complete Rotary Rex drilling outfits from a British firm to be delivered early 1923 for use in Baku. Persia earns royalties from oil and hosts foreign oil firms. In 1921 royalties reached 2,750,000 dollars and 2,327,221 tons of oil, with firms spending about 7.5 million dollars on materials and labor and employing 9,000 Persians.
