OAU Delegates to Endorse MPLA at Summit
African nonwhite leaders head to Addis Ababa for a three day OAU emergency summit to back Angola's MPLA with Soviet and Cuban support. Observers say endorsement could push for negotiations with anti MPLA forces backed by the United States and South Africa. Rep. Diggs urged U S to align with the African consensus, criticizing Ford and Kissinger for straining ties with black Africa by backing FNLA UNITA.
