Southern furniture manufacturers forecast a substantial 1964 rise as orders backlog climbs 22 percent over last year, the strongest in the sector. First eleven months of 1963 show sales up 11.4 percent with shipments 8.2 percent higher, outpacing national figures.

Judge Says Eddie Will Start Divorce
In Puerto Vallarta a Mexican judge who granted Sybil Burton her divorce says singer Eddie Fisher is expected to begin divorce proceedings with Elizabeth Taylor by today or Monday.
