YWCA Announces Winter Class Schedule With Wide Offerings
The Adams Memorial YWCA details winter classes starting the week of Jan 5 at the Main Street facilities. Slim Gym and swimming classes run Tuesday mornings and evenings, with pre registration Jan 5–9 at 1108 N Main St. Courses include bridge, modern dance, sewing, music with recorders, posture for girls, and continuing Bible and Shakespeare sessions.

Miss Frazier and Charles Fricke Wed in Asheboro Church
Miss Martha Carolyn Frazier and Charles H. Fricke III married at 3 p.m. December 27 in the Congregational Christian Church Asheboro Rev Charles H Fricke Jr performed ceremony with palms ferns and seven branched candelabra. The bride wore Chantilly lace and taffeta with a pearl tiara and carried a white orchid on a prayer book. The wedding party included maid of honor Dawn Brown and junior bridesmaid, with Roger Fricke as best man and ushers Sam Greeson and J B Brown. After a reception the couple will live at Fort Slocum New York where Mr Fricke is stationed in the Army.
