The Greek war ministry reported Guerrilla forces suffered over 2000 casualties during the Konitsa siege with 500 rebels killed and 1,500 wounded while 100 captured. Coast Guard fliers die in Signal Mountain crash
Two coast guard aviators from San Diego died when a two engine amphibian plane crashed and burned on Signal Mountain near Chattanooga. Ensign Roger W. Whale about 28 was the pilot and Aviation Machinists Mate 1/c Kristian F. Anderson, both of San Diego, were killed. The craft, on a flight from Memphis, disappeared one minute after its scheduled arrival at Chattanooga airport.
