High Point Health Dept Expands to Full Time Service
The City Health Department in High Point completed its full time public health organization in 1938 with city funds of 17 600 and state support of 12 000, expanding staff from six to nineteen and boosting preventive work across communicable disease control tuberculosis syphilis prenatal and maternity infant preschool and school hygiene food and milk protection and morbidity services.
