Florida Fox Cop Turned Crook By Ken Gephert
Orlando veteran police detective Jack Clouser nicknamed Florida Fox eluded capture after escaping Chattahoochee in 1964. He remains on the FBI Ten Most Wanted list longer than any other fugitive and has a history of robberies and a claimed insanity defense. Lawmen periodically chase leads across the U S and Canada, with authorities doubting his death but continuing pursuit.
