Home Life Of Martha Washington
Mrs Frank and Lambeth of Thomasville deliver a DAR chapter on Edgedale Drive marking George Washington’s approaching birthday. The piece traces Martha Dandridge Custis’s life, marriage to Custis, partnership with Washington, and their years at Mount Vernon, her devotion during the Revolution, and their later years and deaths at Mount Vernon. It notes Martha’s devout Episcopalian faith, hospitality, and influence as Washington’s companion and stepmother to his grand nieces and nephews.
