Distinguished Cuban Pianist Bolet To Play In Piedmont Recital
Internationally known pianist Jorge Bolet will perform the third recital of the season for the Piedmont Community Concert Association at the Senior High School Auditorium on February 25. Bolet has studied in Europe and the United States, won the Naumburg Young Artists contest, and has appeared at Town Hall Carnegie Hall and Berkshire Festival. He served in the Cuban army and later joined the U S Army as a private before becoming an officer and music director in Tokyo. His local appearance draws wide interest as his first event in the area.
