That a what we at Central encountered last week As the senior class and a sociology class were making surveys to find answers to certain questions of interest. The sociology Survey dealt with student likes or dislikes of the policies of president Nixon. They also had a Survey concerning the chances of a woman being president of the United states. Results were used for class discussion. Senior class officers took a Survey to see what the seniors wanted in the Way of a major class social event. The class noted Between a prom an informal dance a comedy film festival and a concert due to the closeness of the voting a run off was held thursday but the results were still very close. A senior class meeting was held Friday at which the project Vas discussed. This past week students of certain study Halls were bused to the police station to View the drug exhibit put on by Larry Dawalt by the High Point police department. Central s basketball team lost to Burlington Williams tuesday night in boys varsity action but they came Back to defeat Dudley Friday night. The girls beat Andrews tuesday and toppled Page Friday afternoon by a 40-31 count. Linda Mcdonald led the girls against Page As she put in 16 Points. The wrestling team dropped Burlington Williams tuesday. Wednesday morning students will be receiving the fourth Issue of the Pointer. The paper will be the 50th anniversary Issue and will feature stores on past editors of the paper As Well As general comments on How the style of living and the things people do in High school have changed since 1022, the year the Pointer was first published.
