Public rejected the saccharine blend after a trial, leaving it stored until after Christmas. Crespi later withdrew all other sugar. The public then bought saccharine sugar in desperation, though the experiment is not expected to be repeated.
El Paso Feb 13 Francisco Villa's forces have fallen from 2500 to 500 men due to malaria and other causes during operations on the isthmus of Tehuantepec. Letters from General Fortunate Maycotte report the 500 survivors now stationed at Puerto Mexico.
