Final Rites Held for Thomas S Clayton
Funeral services for 44 year old Thomas S Clayton were held at Green Street Baptist Church with Rev C N Royal and Rev D W Howell officiating. A male quartet sang, flowers were arranged by friends, and pallbearers included D L Carter Ray Perdue and others. Interment followed at Floral Garden Cemetery.
Rachel Hepler rites conducted Thursday
Funeral services for Rachel Hepler eight months old daughter of Mr and Mrs Hal A Hepler who died Wednesday morning at a local hospital were held yesterday afternoon at 2 30 from The First Church of God conducted by Rev Hugh Calloway. The church choir sang several selections and many flowers were arranged. Interment was in Floral Garden Cemetery.

Man Pleads Guilty To Stealing Chickens For Whiskey
Sandy Cox of 1223 Dodding Street received 60 days on the ds for taking neighbors Id chickens while intoxicated. He admitted stealing two chickens from one owner and one from another, saying he traded them for whiskey. Judge C MacRae ordered 30 days on each larceny count.
