Negro Sentenced To Die In Delaware Jail Yard
In Georgetown Delaware Harry Butler a 21 year old Negro was convicted of attacking a 12 year old white girl and sentenced to be hanged in the jail yard February 26. The crowd faced tear gas and barbed wire as 2000 residents gathered outside the courthouse. Butler confessed to the attack at Bridgeville February 21 and the girl remains hospitalized.
