Inauguration of President Brewer at Meredith College
Dr. Charles Edward Brewer was inaugurated as president of Meredith College in Raleigh in a modest ceremony. About 400 students filled the audience as twelve speakers and musical performances highlighted a brief two hour and thirty minute program amid praise for women's education and the college's early, democratic character.
