McGuinn Named Young Man of the Year for Community Service
High Point figure Bill McGuinn III rose from school sports to ROTC leadership and Air Force duty. He led an Air Traffic Control Detachment at Dobbins AFB and became a jet pilot before focusing on civic work with the United Appeal Red Cross YMCA and other groups. He married Fuller Kirkman in 1960 and has two children.
