Suit For 50000 Filed Over Fatal High Point Crash

State Patrolman Held for Accepting $50 Bribe
Mocksville, Feb. 2. State Highway Patrolman H. V. Norris was held on a charge of accepting a $50 bribe and malfeasance of office. Major John Armstrong said Norris admitted guilt and requested his resignation. Norris became a patrolman in September 1955 and allegedly took $50 to drop a drunken driving charge.

Hanes Knitting Strike Seeks Federal Conciliators
