Miss Betty Jean Pegram and Jackson Rea Herring were married at 6:30 pm at the High Point Friends Meeting House with Rev. Cecil Haworth officiating. The couple, both from local families, have ties to Winston-Salem and Chapel Hill, and the union was followed by a reception at 418 Edgedale Drive.
Mil dred Ann Killian and Alvin F. Reddick announce their engagement. The wedding is planned for April 25 at Trinity Baptist Church. Miss Killian, a Trinity High School graduate, works at Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Co. Reddick, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Reddick, is an Allen Jay High School alumnus serving in the U S Air Force at Little Rock Arkansas.
Miss Linda Lou Briggs and Max Gordon Loflin announce their engagement. Both are seniors at High Point College with sorority and fraternity memberships. The wedding is planned for March 28 at Beck's Evangelical and Reformed Church in Lexington.
Miss Mary Frances Hayworth of High Point N C became the bride of Rev Robert Lee Mott Jr at First Baptist Church Eau Gallie Florida The ceremony was officiated by Rev Garnet R West Organist was Mrs Clifford A Shank The bridal party included matron of honor Mrs Charles Harrison Hayworth and bridesmaids Miss Gayle Leonard and Miss Marsha Olive The service featured white gladioli and carnations and red carnation bouquets with a reception pending details.
Last night a reception at 418 Edgedale Dr followed the Herring Pegram wedding. Roy B. Culler Jr. and wife hosted guests greeting and intro ductions to the receiving line with flowers, punch, and decorative displays featuring pink roses snapdragons and gladioli.
