Transcribers Say They Will Continue Work
New York officials of firms that produce radio transcriptions say they will continue turning out large volumes after James C Petrillo bans on recordings by AFL Musicians. The ban affects instrumental music only, leaving a wide field for continued recording, especially for spot commercials and drama programs. Henry Lockwood of War Recording Studios says a major portion of their business remains unaffected. Some records will be revised to remove instrumental music.
