Timekeeper’s lapse costs Asheboro in semi final thriller
In the High Point Holiday Basketball Tournament semifinal between Andrews and Asheboro, a late clock miscue by the timekeeper left Asheboro with only three seconds for a crucial throw in and shot. With 13 seconds on the play, Ted Brown’s missed free throw and a rebound by Asheboro sparked a timeout call, but no time was added after the clock read five seconds.
