President 5 Yacht Damaged by Fire at Navy Yard

At Washington the dining room and several state rooms in the Mayflower officers’ quarters burned. A board of inquiry will determine the fire’s cause. Secretary Daniels said damage not yet set, but several officers lost personal effects. Eight reporters were arrested entering the yard but released after Daniels ordered their freedom. Navy officials say they sought an explanation for the breach of the guard.

Deportation of Russian radicals from the United States has been resumed. A number were sent home last week and another batch of twenty five will leave New York in three weeks. They are sent to Libau and moved by rail into sovietussia. Ludwig Martens, who calls himself Russian ambassador, will be surrendered January 3rd on a deportation warrant and sent to Libau.

To Hold Funeral Here Wednesday

The funeral of Mrs. Lyneth Roxana Loflin who died Sunday night at her Park Street home will be held Wednesday at 1 o'clock at Pleasant Garden church. Rev George R.
