No Hoarding Is Found By WPB In N. C.
Charlotte report states the War Production Board survey of about 350 critical materials across 75 warehouses in North and South Carolina found no hoarding or violations. Paul E. Thomason praised local business cooperation while the nationwide check aimed to ensure steel copper and other war materials move to productive channels. A stray, unrelated note mentions a white rattlesnake with six rattles and a button killed in California in 1941.
