Exports for November reach new record amid war debt talk
Paris dispatch reports M. Raoul Peret urging productive work to pay war debts and push for reciprocal trade with the United States. He notes Ribot’s bond financing, predicts high national debt and interest, and argues for closer U S commerce and a tariff system. Separate federal data show November exports at $517.9 million and total eleven month exports near $4.96 billion, with a favorable trade balance and rising gold movements.
