Jailed Student Defends Kennedy Threat as Joke

Rus sell W. McLarry, 21, a part time college student, says he meant no harm when accused of threatening President Kennedy. Investigators found no link to the assassination. Christmas Star Goes Into Orbit Over Twilight Skies

The Christmas Star satellite has reached orbit after a late sighting by Australia. The 12 foot balloon and its canister were tracked by binoculars at an optical station. It will be visible at twilight when its polar orbit aligns with sundown.

Presidency commission urges 18 voting age and end to poll taxes
