Medical Course Plan Prompts UNC Location Debates
A UNC committee will report on extending the medical course from two to four years and decide if the school should stay in Chapel Hill or move within North Carolina. Cities like Charlotte Greensboro Durham and Raleigh seek the campus with Charlotte offering the Presbyterian Hospital valued at about 500000 for the school. Maintenance funds of 50000 annually would be provided from the hospital. The board will forward recommendations to the General Assembly.
