Wrenn’s Savings Ledger false entry alleged to defraud Home Banking Co. and M. J. Wrenn. Swain testified Hedgecock admitted moving $10 000 to adjust ledgers. Fire devastates Trust Building and nearby structures in Charlotte

A large blaze originating in the furnace room destroyed the six story Trust building on South Tryon Street and damaged adjoining properties. The Keith vaudeville theater was lost, with extensive office damage and losses estimated around 440000. Malone Found Dead in Branch Near Home

Statesville Dec 18 J Robert Malone 36 was missing since December 9 and his body was found in a branch near his Shiloh township home with a throat wound. He had been adjudged insane and an application had been made to admit him to the state hospital for the insane. He is survived by his wife and three children.

Mrs P I Boggs buried at Spring Hill church

Funeral services for Mrs P I Boggs were held at Spring Hill church after her death Saturday afternoon. Rev M L Moore officiated and interment followed in the church cemetery. November exports reach record year high

The department of commerce reports November American exports at 383 million dollars, up 12 million from October and 90.9 million above last year. Compared with November 1913 the rise exceeds 138 million. The brief notice says agriculture and industry generally benefited from rising export business, though detailed analysis is pending.

Raeford Man Killed in Auto Crash Near Rock Bridge

R A Pete ter 325 a resident of Raeford died last night when the automobile he rode in overturned near Rock Bridge one mile from Raeford. He suffered a broken neck. No companion was present at the time. He leaves a widow and two young children.
