Baptism of the Holy Spirit sermon by Rev Clarke
In a second message on the three baptisms, Rev. James A. Clarke of the First Baptist Church argues waters baptism remains obligatory and distinguishes baptism of the Holy Spirit as a power conferred on Christians, not conversion or sanctification. He cites Matthew 3 11 and 28 19 and contrasts John and Jesus as baptizers. The sermon defends Spirit baptism as distinct from regeneration and explains its purpose to empower believers to aid others.
