Tulane’s Power Football System Emerges Under Dawson
New Orleans December 16 A Tulane system of power football developed by coach Lowell Dawson blends Minnesota shifts with retooled line play to surge at the point of attack. Dawson rearranges backs and pulls an extra tackle to create stronger double blocking and faster inner gaps. The Tulane formation, rooted in 25 years of Minnesota influence, aims to box tackles and quicken cutbacks while bringing blockers to the point of attack.
