France Moves to Break Relations with Franco Spain
Paris December 8 A source in the French constituent assembly said France sent a note to the United States Britain and Russia asking their positions on breaking relations with Franco Spain. Foreign Minister Bidault discussed the note in a policy review. The note seeks each country's stance on rupturing ties rather than a direct call to sever. France's major parties factions seek rupture though no cabinet consensus exists on recognizing the exile government in Mexico led by Jose Giral Pereira.
