Greensboro officials hear farm demonstration funding plea
A Greensboro county board hearing on increased funding for farm demonstration and canning club work drew strong support from the Guilford county farm bureau the chamber of commerce and local farmers. While no action was taken the mood suggested approval of a 400 increase atop the 800 current appropriation and praise for the program's reported year long gains and $2000 in local impact cited by Dr J T J Battle.

Death of Aged Woman in Hospital Sparks Thomasville Obituary
Miss Neppie Whitaker of Thomasville died last night at the hospital after a long illness. She was well known in Thomasville and High Point with many friends and was aunt to Miss I Irving Paylor of this city. Funeral plans were not yet set, but interment is expected in Thomasville tonight or tomorrow morning.
